Fedora 7 (Moonshine)

The Fedora Project recently released its newest member of the family, Fedora Core 7 codename Moonshine. The distribution uses the latest version of Linux kernel 2.6.21 and of course, Firefox 2. They have also added GUI administration and troubleshooting manager for SELinux and a few firmwares for wireless network devices. And the one feature I’m so excited to see is its support for Sony Playstation 3. Read here for the detailed release summary.

The latest release of Fedora is actually called Fedora 7 and not Fedora Core 7. This is because with this recent release, the Core packages and Extras are already merged. This means that Fedora 7 was made to accommodate all kinds of users, providing each and everyone packages that will suit every kind of taste.
